Pulp Nonfiction Endo Study Club: The Endo-Restorative Relationship

The Endo Restorative Relationship

Endodontics doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Not only does restorative care impact the dentin-pulp complex, a history of endodontic treatment itself can directly impact restorative care. This module will focus on the intersection between endodontics and restorative dentistry. This Zoom webinar course will review the impact of restorative factors on the dental pulp, as well as the ways in which endodontic treatment impact restorative treatment plans. Finally, we’ll review an evidence-based framework to aid decision making between retaining or extracting compromised teeth. .

The course will be presented virtually on Thursday, March 24 from 6:30 p.m. Register at Eventbrite. Please include your AGD number, if appropriate.

Participants will:

  • Understand the impact of restorative care on the dental pulp

  • Comprehend an evidence-based rationale for the restoration of endodontically treated teeth

  • Recognize proper post selection in cases where they are indicated

  • Understand an evidence-based framework for retention versus extraction of compromised teeth.

Upon completion of the course, participants will understand the interrelationship between restorative care and endodontic treatment, and will better appreciate treatment planning considerations for compromised teeth under endodontic consideration.

Following the course, participants will receive access to an online portal containing course content and cited research and literature.
